Anfang (in Swedish ”enlarged, decorated initial”, in German: ”beginning”) is a molded relief made of recycled paper pulp. Consisting of 19 modules, the paper has been mixed, pressed and let to dry in molds. During the drying process, cracks have appeared that have been repaired with ash and wood glue. The shape is based on a symbol of a road leaning towards the horizon, and can also be read as the letter A.
